Country star Colt Ford is in the ICU after suffering a heart attack after his show, according to a statement released by his team.

The singer’s team told TMZ that Ford is currently hospitalized at the Banner Desert Medical Center in Mesa, Arizona. He was transported there after performing at Dierks Bentley’s Whiskey Row in Gilbert on Thursday evening.

A representative told the outlet that Ford is currently in stable condition.

In 2022, the singer was diagnosed with Myasthenia Gravis, an autoimmune disease. It is unknown whether Ford’s condition was a contributing factor to the heart attack at this time.

Ford, 53, is perhaps best known for originally recording “Dirt Road Anthem,” which was later performed by Jason Aldean. The song has garnered more than 927 million streams globally as of this report, TMZ noted.

Ford’s solo career has also been filled with success, as each of his last 5 albums have debuted inside the Billboard top 10 Country chart. His 2012 album “Declaration of Independence” became a top hit, as did “Thanks For Listening” nearly a year later.

He has also been nominated for two Country Music Awards.
