The foreign policy of the Biden administration has been a disaster.

It has led to chaos around the world.

The latest debacle was Iran attacking Israel.

Joe Biden told Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu that the United States would not support a counterattack on Iran.

Biden reportedly told Netanyahu, “You got a win. Take the win.”

Axios reported:

President Biden told Israeli prime minister Benjamin Netanyahu during a call on Saturday that the U.S. won’t support any Israeli counterattack against Iran, a senior White House official told Axios.

Why it matters: Biden and his senior advisers are highly concerned an Israeli response to Iran’s attack on Israel would lead to a regional war with catastrophic consequences, U.S. officials said.

“You got a win. Take the win,” Biden told Netanyahu, according to the official.

The official said that when Biden told Netanyahu that the U.S. will not participate in any offensive operations against Iran and will not support such operations, Netanyahu said he understood.

The administration will support new sanctions on Iran however.

The Hill reported:

White House will be imposing new sanctions on Iran, targeting Tehran’s missile and drone program, following the country’s “unprecedented” air attack on Israel, White House national security advisor Jake Sullivan announced on Tuesday.

The new sanctions, set to take into effect “in the coming days,” will penalize Tehran for its attack on Israel over the weekend.

Sullivan stated the new sanctions will target “entities” backing the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) and Iran’s Defense Ministry.

“These new sanctions and other measures will continue a steady drumbeat of pressure to contain and degrade Iran’s military capacity and effectiveness and confront the full range of its problematic behaviors,” Sullivan said.
